Claudine Gay, the ex-president of the most prestigious university in the country, is as dishonest as a crack whore. She was proven to be responsible for more than 50 instances of plagiarism, dating back to at least 1997. Claudine Gay is dishonest, which leads to her being deceitful, which leads to her being a liar. These are apt descriptions of her character. She fought to remain president because of the motives of the reporters who uncovered her lying deceitful ways. Should she be excused because of their motives, whatever they may be? Of course not, but she’s still on the faculty, earning over 900,000 USD annually. At any academic institution, the instructors must review the syllabus with incoming students, and within that syllabus is a section on plagiarism and the penalties, (which include expulsion), for committing plagiarism. How can a disgraced former university president who should have been immediately fired and removed from campus continue to lecture incoming students on plagiarism? She has no credibility or integrity. I imagine there was a meeting with The Dean of Academic Affairs and other board members, (who should all be forced to resign their positions for allowing such a pitiful conclusion to be agreed upon), where a decision was reached that allowed Gay to remain in her role as a professor.
How absurd and pathetic. Harvard, you have lost your status as a great institution of learning. Anyone enrolling in Harvard cannot have respect for the institution or themselves. You will get a curriculum taught by a liar and a thief if you enroll in any of Claudine Gays’ courses, and the university openly supports this. Think that over for a moment. To name a few things, a professor who stole trust, respect, integrity, and confidence is still allowed to instruct students. I understand this is probably the last job she will ever have, who would hire her for anything after this debacle, but Harvard, what about integrity and standing for what is right? Are these not tenants of your commitment to higher education at your formerly prestigious university? Claudine Gay, in the words of Daffy Duck, “you’re despicable”.
