I AM WHATEVER I IDENTIFY AS… RIGHT?

According to the current modern “accept anyone as anything” society, I am whatever I identify as, right? I must be acknowledged and recognized as whatever I identify as. Without question, reasonable thought, or any other intelligent constraints. Whatever I identify as, that is what I am. Not just what I identify as but WHAT I AM!! I identify as a woman; I AM a woman. I identify as a man; I AM a man. I identify as a tulip; I AM a tulip. And you must refer to and recognize me as a tulip, right? If I identify as it, them, a those, or a sumthin or other, you must recognize me as it, them, a those, or a sumthin or other. Does this absurdity disrupt your cerebral cortex? It assuredly should. Let’s ask Lia Thomas*. This concept is so ridiculous that it contorts my mind. But there is one question I have not heard asked or answered, so here we go. I am whatever I identify as, right? So, my friend, what happens if I identify as you…

If I identify as you, what happens to you? Do I, in fact, become you, assuming your persona, identity, finances, family, vehicles, and assets? What happens to you if I can be whatever I identify as and I identify as you? Do you cease to exist? Are you no longer you, a living, breathing entity? Who do you become, the former me or a new you? I identify as you, so you cannot be you, too. This is a very serious question that has not been answered. What happens to you if I identify as you? This is the obvious bullshitness of this concept. Can I now apply for credit, a job, and get married as if I am you because I identify as you? Are my debts, obligations, and commitments gone? Where and how does it end? Do we identify as each other back and forth in an identity duel until one of us submits to the other? And then what? Why would you capitulate to someone else identifying as you? And who pray tell do you become?  Do you identify as someone else, and the foolishness continues in chaos and identity confusion until no one is left in the world unscathed by the assumption and reassumption of their own identity? What is the result of my identifying as you? What? How does this not perpetuate into a total loss of individuality? No one is anyone if this is allowed to continue unchecked. If the authorities show up to arrest me and I identify as someone else, do they walk away head down, defeated by my quick thinking to identify as someone else? Is this absurdity scrambling your cerebral cortex now? I appreciate any answer that makes intelligent sense.

*  He was born a biological male, (chassis XY), and chose to identify as a female. He transformed his body into that of a female. Now, he is not recognized as a male by himself, and he is not recognized as a female by society. What do you identify as today, Lia? When you look in the mirror, do you see yourself as a male or a female? I am not criticizing your morals, mentality, or ideology. I’m merely making a sympathetic observation. I truly feel for you. If you are not recognized as either male or female, what else is there for you to identify as?
